BIODIESEL PLANT

Bellingham-based Chemical Consortium Holdings company says it plans to build a plant in the Longview-Cowlitz County area to produce biodiesel. The company says it will be the first large-scale biodiesel facility on the West Coast. CEO J. Greig says it will be the first project of the holding company. Construction could begin in March for the first biodiesel phase. It will cost 62 million dollars and create 22 jobs. Eventually, Greig says, the company plans a four-phase project to include producing ethanol. It would cost 780 million dollars and create 350 jobs.
